I'm currently based in Spokane, Washington because it is way too hot in Las Vegas. I'm seriously enjoying Spokane. I like wearing my light jacket at night. The Spokane locals must be giggling inside.
ANYWAY! On Saturday I went on a bike ride from Stateline to Coeur d'Alene (CDA), ID on the Centennial which goes all the way from Spokane to CDA.
At the beach I was able to set up a little paint session for myself.
Everyone thinks that to be a fancy artist you have to use fancy supplies. This is SO not true! I found all the supplies I used on Amazon so you can order a few supplies and create art this summer too!
FAVORITE Item: Jack Richeson 50 pack Watercolor Postcards - LOVE THEM! Best Value: Prang Washable Watercolor Set! Most expensive but totally worth it: Copic Markers 9-piece Multiliner
So many people ask me, "What if it doesn't turn out exactly the way it looks?" As you paint and draw you may decide to change or add things or maybe you added too much of one color. Well, go with it! Change it into something just as beautiful and create something new.
As I painted the sky & the water I thought to myself everyone knows a blue sky & water... How can I make this different? So, I added a bit of my Magenta from my gouache tube to my blue sky & water. Then I got these radiant beautiful violets that made the yellows in my treed hills pop out. Don't be afraid to take creative control of your work. Create something that will surprise your audience. After all... don't we all love surprises?
Thank you for your continued support!
