Plein-air Painting fun!
One of the most fun things I get to do as an art educator is get to go with people out on hikes & outdoor adventures and help them create outdoors. In June I was able to go out hiking with my good friend Bre to Lake Blanche. Lake Blanche is a very popular alpine lake hike outside of Salt Lake City, UT up Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Myself & Bre - A picture from awhile ago as I don't have bangs or long hair anymore.
The actual hike to Lake Blanche Trail is 6.9 miles out and back, moderate to difficult skill, and best time period is June to October. On to the pictures of the hike & art!
Hiking views!
Arting views! Also, this rock face is called Sundial and has a beautiful looking 5.8 rock climb called Eleventh Hour going up to the top. I'm hoping to climb it in August once more snow has melted. Snow makes me nervous!
Final Art Below!
